I grew up in a rich suburb of Washington DC and 25 years later I find myself living in and investing in inner city housing. I've always gravitated towards vacant buildings because they can be very cheap and also one of the ultimate forms of recycling. I agree that fixing up the building and the yard make a positive impact on the community and I've been working slowly for years to do that. I hope more investors will start stepping up and doing well by doing good.
