The Value of a Free Lunch

As I have said many, many times- networking with others in this business has been a HUGE part of my success. Another recent example-

A former coworker that I hadn't seen in over 10 years contacted me on Facebook about 6 months ago and explained that he was interested in learning about REI and would like to take me out to lunch. We met for lunch a few days later. A couple of weeks went by and he contacted me again about another lunch. I agreed and so, we met again.

A couple of weeks later he calls me about a potential deal and asks if I'd be interested in partnering on it. When he told me the numbers- I could't believe it- but it was true! Here are the numbers-

Purchase Price- 10k for a decent house.

We advertised on Craigslist for 50k. Another wholesaler contacted us about a buyer she had. We ended up doing a double close and sold the house for 52k- we made 36k, the wholesaler made 4k and the buyer is renovating the house and is sure to make a nice profit!!!

So, the value of a free lunch? This one was worth 18k to me- not to mention a couple of new members of my network!!!   :)

So, if you want to take me out to lunch- just ask! :)
