Unlimited Money and Buyers for Your Deals
People often ask me how it’s possible to raise unlimited capital the way that I do and how I’m able to have an endless supply of note buyers, and the answer comes down to a few simple things. Firstly, I always do my best to provide value first. The second thing might sound even simpler but I simply keep my word and do what I say I’m going to do (something a lot of people somehow lose sight of). And I always try to provide the best possible customer service I can, so everyone is happy. Then I discovered about a year ago that I could create something where I do all of these things, all the while keeping in constant contact with my investors and my note buyers. So along with an co-worker from my company’s IT department, I made my first e-zine.
So what is an e-zine and how can you provide value with it? Well I stole the idea from sales expert Jeffrey Gitomer, who would use an e-zine or digital newsletter to keep in contact with his students and offer them books/education to sell but also give them really valuable articles, quotes, etc. So I didn’t re-invent the wheel, just merely re-applied it to the note business. I continue to do it through multiple ways in my e-zine, like through my writing, which is mostly advice about what to do in certain situations with your notes or great strategies I’ve learned by owning a note company (like starting a Private Placement to raise money). I also write about lessons I’ve learned and mistakes I’ve made that others can learn from. I also share valuable resources that we use in our daily business to be successful like foreclosure attorneys (good ones are hard to find), vendors we use, as well as companies that make products the everyday note buyer could utilize. I even recommend books I’m reading and upcoming events that I’m attending that are relevant to my industry.
Sure, I may highlight a “Deal of the week” that’s for sale, but I also show some educational audio or video clips or frequently asked questions from current note buyers/investors. But I’ll tell you what, it works! I sell a deal every issue, with the average price of $17,500 and we’ve done 50 issues so do the math! But more importantly, not only do we demonstrate ways for investors to connect; with an e-zine you can show your customers that you really care about them with all this content you create. So why not create your own e-zine for whatever business you’re in? Whether it’s raising private money or flipping houses, why not create something of value that brings you investors and buyers week after week.
