The Debut

I have been following and posting on Bigger Pockets for several years and have decided to start a blog on the site to share some of my thoughts and experiences in the real estate industry.  BP helped me and my business partner launch and grow our business, and I know it well contribute to us reaching our short and long term goals.

About Us:  My business partner, Ryan Kenimer, and I were roommates at the University of Kentucky, where we shared many fun and exciting times, full of shenanigans and ridiculous adventures.  We have had thousands of conversations over the years, some full of BS and some containing some slight hint of seriousness.  Through these conversations we found one of many common interests...entrepreneurship (along with Kentucky basketball, beer and cigars).  Both Ryan and I loved the idea of owning a business (who doesn’t?).  We discussed several ideas over a couple of months until real estate came up in a conversation.  It was during that conversation when a light bulb went off and we realized that real estate would be the industry in which we would start our company.

We spent the next year planning, learning, and dreaming about the future.  We started our LLC, developed relationships with banks, contractors, and the other necessary components of a real estate rehabbing team.  Since we started our LLC in November 2009, we have hit the ground running.  This blog will be my way to discuss some of the issues, experiences, challenges and successes that we face.

I hope that you enjoy this blog which will feature some shenanigans of its own.  Comments are encouraged and debate is always welcome...so welcome to the K&V Bigger Pockets Blog!
