How To Use Bandit Signs For Maximum Effect

The new big thing for investors to keep properties in their pipeline in is Bandit Signs. Here is the thing, alot if investors do not use them and better yet those that use them do not know How To Use Bandit Signs For Maximum Effect. I will outline some points to help you capitalize on this cheap and effective marketing tool that will keep your phone ringing and your website active.

Sign Size:

18 x 24 is the easiest to read as traffic is going by at 30 – 50 m.p.h. or even at major intersections when stopped back in traffic they can be seen from a distance. 12 x 18 size signs are less noticeable and should be used in areas where a complete stop is required or in the inner regions of a neighborhood.

Your call volume will increase dramatically after a weekend using 18 x 24 Bandit Signs, and contrasted with 12 x 18 the calls will come in but probably not as high as with the 18 x 24’s.

The 12 x 18 however will typically be out for a little longer. You can expect the 18 x 24’s to last about the same amount of time as running an ad in the newspaper 3 days to a week, but, with tons more exposure.

Color Scheme:

I have tested every color under the sun for my Bandit Signs, so the colors I suggest are colors that work. Some people can swear on a certain color combination, others swear that another works better, it comes down to regional areas at times, but, I have had the best results with blue and white.

What To Say:

Your message is the most important thing besides your phone number that you can put on your signs. Your message should be short and simple. If you’re driving down the road at 40 mph, you have about 3-5 seconds to read the sign. If your message has 5 or more lines, most of your audiences, those that are driving, aren’t going to be able to read it in that few seconds, so the rule

KISS rule applies. You need to keep the message simple and to the point.

Phone Number:

In my experience and tests, I have found that using a phone number on your Bandit Signs is strongly recommended over using a website. This is mainly because people tend to write a phone number down and with a website, they tend to try to memorize it, so that by the time they get home, they probably only remember part of it or none at all. And if they get to searching online, they’re going to be able to look at all your competition. A phone number on your Bandit Signs works much better.

There is also some question as to what type of phone number you should put on your signs, (cell, office, voicemail, home, 800 numbers). I believe voicemails are a great way to track the results of different marketing messages. You can set up different voicemails through services like RingCentral.com, and you can assign a different voicemail number to different signs. This way, you can track which signs are working better and in which areas, and so on. In my experience, I found that local numbers perform better than 800 numbers. An exception to that is a vanity 800 number like 800-BUY-KWIK.

How To Use Signs:

I recommend that you put out no more than 20 to 25 signs in an area in which you wish to market. If you order 500 signs, do not put them all out in that area you are marketing, city ordinances do not allow that so make sure you check the rules for your area of the country. After you put your 20 to 25 signs out in one area, rotate areas. Do not over saturate an area to the point where people will not only notice them but ignore them because there are so many. People will notice these signs because they target what they need, when you tell your customer what you do, rather than who you are.

Placement:

As far as areas to target, major intersections and off of exit ramps from the highway. Also, my favorite are long stretches of 40 mph road, put the signs out on the side of the road about 10-20 feet off the road and a quarter to a half mile apart going both ways.

The best times to put out Bandit Signs are on Fridays late afternoon, evenings and holidays.

With these tips, you will have a great experience using Bandit Signs!

P.S. here are a few places to get signs at good prices.
