7 Lessons I Have Learned From House Hacking
I've house hacked four properties in and around Chicago since 2019. As a real estate agent in Chicago, I've had the privilege to help others house hack as well. Here are 7 lessons I have learned from house hacking:
1) The sooner you start house hacking, the better.
2) It's the most convenient, lowest risk strategy to invest in real estate
3) Effective tenant screening is critical to your success.
4) Leverage is an important concept and tool for building wealth.
5) The best results will come from house hacking multiple times.
6) One of the best ways to limit tenant turnover is to have great customer service as a landlord.
7) It's important to take the long view. Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in 10 years.
