First Blog Ever! Starting the real estate life!

Hello Bigger Pockets, 

Here we go, this is my first blog on Bigger Pockets. Ok, it is actually my very first blog ever. I am ready to get serious about real estate and investing. With that, I know that networking and knowing the movers and shakers in the industry is crucial to being successful in the highly competitive world of real estate. Honestly, I have taken a laid-back approach up until now, and it has given me a very mediocre result (as to be expected). Now it is time to take a different approach and start getting serious about my journey. I am 41 years old with two little boys and one grown up boy, I am looking to be someone that they look up to and I want to make a better life for them. The only way I feel that I can do that is to get serious about real estate and build wealth through investments.

To be 100% honest, I have been quite lazy in life and just thought that working a good job was enough (even if it is nothing close to what I want to do). It seemed like the right thing to do especially with two little boys to take care of and an older boy in college. It is now time to start doing something and creating the best possible future for my babies. I am very scared and uncomfortable all the time but know that this is the way to go. I must take a chance once in my life and stop following the herd by working my whole life doing something that is no where near what I want to do.

With that being said, I hope this blog will help keep me on track with my goals and maybe inspire others to take a chance too. I will be starting with pretty much nothing and very little experience. I want to be able to prove to everyone reading this, that it is possible no matter where you are at in life or your financial situation. It is about discipline and doing something (which is what I have been lacking and need to develop). I need to start associating with people that share the same ideas and desires. I hope that this blog will help connect me with people that are in the same spot or already doing what I want to be doing.

Wholesaling, flipping, and rentals are what I am focused on and will be updating you on my journey through this blog and Bigger Pockets. This being my first blog, I am sure it’s not the best, but I do hope that they will get better and become more interesting as my journey progresses. You need a reason to do anything in life and money can not be the sole reason. This journey will be for my kids and to be able to give them the vacations and things that I never had. With that being my reason, I know that it will keep me motivated. Failure is not an option. What is driving you? Stay tuned for more blogs about me and my current situation and progress.
