The Benefits of Buying a New Apartment

If you are looking for a new place to live, and you doubt between choosing a house or an apartment, according to some experts, the second option may be the most appropriate.

Although like everything, it has some cons, the reality is that it offers many more advantages than you imagine.

Here are eight reasons why, at least in New York, it is better to buy a new apartment:

1. Lower price: Generally, apartments, even large ones or penthouses, are less expensive and more accessible than houses. Also, being part of a shared building, maintenance costs are not as high compared to those of a house.

2. Good location: Every apartment belongs to a housing complex and this, in turn, is usually located in urban-valuable areas that facilitate connection with important avenues and different types of services, such as transportation, commercial and recreation. These factors, without a doubt, improve people's quality of life. If what you want is to live in one of these privileged places, it will be easier for you to find a new apartment for sale, than a house. When it comes to New York, some of the best connected areas to transportation, commercial and recreation services are Prospect Lefferts Gardens (Brooklyn) and Bedford-Stuyvesant (Brooklyn). Between the two areas, there is housing complex, called Ebbets Field Apartments. It is located just steps from Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Prospect Park. The housing complex has 1300 units, comprised of large studios, along with 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments.

3. Forget about rents: Apartments for rent are not always new and, the amount of the monthly rent is often similar to the monthly payment for the purchase of your own home. So, instead of investing your money in a property that is not yours, it is better to pay for something that will eventually become your property.

4. Greater security: Most of the housing complexes, such as the Ebbets Field Apartments, offer 24-hour security service, through cameras and surveillance personnel. This gives residents a guarantee the that access to the property will be controlled.

5. Flexibility: Although the surface of an apartment is smaller than that of a house, this does not mean that they are uncomfortable. There are a variety of apartment designs and styles to suit the needs of all types of individuals and families.

6. Susceptible of income: Many people buying real estate to rent it later and on that way to recover their investment and then start earning money. One of the benefits of buying an apartment to rent is that it will be easier to find a tenant for the property, since there will always be a person who needs a smaller and cheaper space than a house to live in.

7. Cleaning: Since the space is less, cleaning tasks are much easier and less exhaustive.

8. Space saving: According to the latest report, in New York City alone, live more than eight million people. This means that the necessary services must be provided to guarantee them a decent life, and that includes the right to housing. However, given the large road infrastructure that has taken over our city and the need to conserve natural areas in favor of the environment, it is much more viable to offer such homes in a vertical way, thus, "one space" will be useful for more people, resulting in land use.
