    My name is Shaun Martin. I am owner of Tildaseo. I am the C.T.O and head of the marketing department. My role is creating content and measuring the effectiveness of it, in an objective manner, for our clients and in house businesses.

    The purpose of doing so is to show the clients 2 things:

    1. The ROI on their investment in us.

    2. Their ROI in investment on Google Ad Words.

    Tildaseo is an exclusive SEO company that focuses on a very specific niche in Real Estate.

    The case study is of a company we serviced and as a result ultimately purchased as we saw huge potential in the area.

    Case Study: Watson Buys

    We are a small real estate investment Company based in Denver, CO.

    A big part of our business is finding off market properties to buy and sell.

    The funnel is about finding leads of homeowners that want to sell their homes fast.

    Watson Buys uses Google analytics to optimize our funnel in the following way.

    Google Analytics allows us to measure the effectiveness of ad campaigns.

    Google analytics allows us to objectively measure the relevance of content by way of seeing Cost per click to be reduced as content relevance increases

    We wanted to measure the effectiveness of a Google Ad Words Campaign.

    Summary:

    To do this we did the following:

    1. Collected data on how many leads were organically obtained on a particular landing page.

    2. We then started a Google Ad Words campaign and collected the data for the same page, but differentiated leads entering organically verses from the Google Ad.

    The Full Story:

    Our “sell-my-house-fast had been live for 6 months. During this period we had tracked the number of leads from it.

    To do this we did the following:

    Step 1. We set up the Lead Form Submission as our goal in Google analytics.

    To set up a Goal in Google Analytics log in and select Admin bottom left.

    Step 2. We set up our funnel.

    In this case it was very straight forward.

    Step 1 of Funnel:

    Lead Enters website organically at https:www.watsonbuys.com/sell-my-house-fast/

    Step 2 of Funnel:

    Lead submits on-page form.

    Over a 6 month period we were able to see how many people searched for “sell-my-house-fast”, organically found our website and then completed a form on that page.

    To measure the effectiveness of the Google Ad Words Campaign the setup was very similar.

    The only difference was that now the potential lead was coming to our website by way of a Google Ad.

    The results:

    It didn’t take long to see obvious benefit by way of increased leads after starting a Google ads campaign.

    Over the next few months we will collate the data. Divide the number of leads by the cost of the campaign to calculate the acquisition cost.

    Furthermore in the future we can begin A/B testing on content relevance as measured by Google. This can be achieved by using the same ad but different content. The content that Google deems more relevant will cost less per lead as our bid prices will be reduced for the more relevant content.
