Social Media is Taking Over The World

In the first years of the 21st century, humanity implemented the human genome project. People started to print using 3d printers. The development of our artificial intelligence was rapidly increasing, and there was no surprise that one day we discovered ourselves in technologically-driven social-hubs, such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc. It changed the way we think, work, live, love, and have fun. It shaped the course of marketing and generated new communication channels.

Social media and business opportunities

The whole new world of opportunities has opened for companies together with the development of social media. Small businesses found a hidden potential in themselves that gave them a chance to compete with larger companies. Social media creates equal opportunities for every single business entity. In the past, if you did not have sufficient money, you would never dare to think about the start-up. Now, people are generating ideas and transform them into wealth using zero capital. It produces great heterogeneity in the global market and makes our world even more diverse.

Social media and relationships

Our world is not the same as it was 20 years ago. People are different. Babies, born after 2000, are now teenagers. They were born in the digital era, and their brain works differently. They can't picture our lives without technology. They don't know what the world looks like without Instagram. They interact using digital tools, which dominates their offline life as well. Our imagination about communication has changed, and we see each other differently. Social media rules our everyday life and we can't take control of it.

Social media and education

Traditional educational methods have changed considerably. In the last few weeks, even the least digitalized world was forced to digitalize and start consuming platforms, such as Microsoft teams and zoom. Students and teachers interact with each other using telecommunication tools. Coursera, Edx, LinkedIn learning are one of the few examples of how education has changed. You can earn a degree online and get a world-class education for cheap. You can learn the whole math, biology, chemistry online at khan academy - and everything for free. You have access to the internet - you have the full complex of opportunities.

Social media has never been as powerful as it is today. We are witnessing the world that is going to be digitalized even more. We are part of the society that is creating new life standards. To be able to survive in this world, you have to digitalize as well.
