Now that you have probably created accounts for your business on social media platforms, it is time to discuss, why it is so important to put out good content on them and how do they affect the growth of your business.

Let’s start from the beginning - why do we even create social media accounts for business? Clearly to promote our products and services to people around the world. Social media is currently the biggest and most common way of marketing in any industry. But the outcome fully depends on what type of content you upload on your business accounts and how often you do it.

Putting out your products doesn’t mean people will just buy it straight away, it’s always marketing behind it that pushes customers to actually try them, but it’s a universal fact that social media marketing isn’t about how much money you spend on Facebook or Instagram ads but it’s about your creative strategy.

For example, how many types of tile-matching puzzle video games have you seen going around? There are thousands of them from different companies and the number is growing day by day. Do you think anyone who already has one puzzle game downloaded, would click on the ad with a different one? No, but they might if the advertisements will be eye-catching in some way and “Lily’s Garden” is a perfect example of it.

The game is known for having some of the most confusing and let’s say unusual ads, some people even name it as the worst mobile game ads they have ever seen. FBE has even recorded a “reaction video” to some of them and even tho reactors were saying that they were horrible, they also said that it got them interested and would want to download the app to see what it was all about. And that is, in my opinion, a great example of smart marketing, the company noticed that their ads were getting recognition for simply being bad and kept going with it, which at the end resulted in millions of downloads.

When creating content to upload on social media accounts and later promote them, try to use as much creativity as possible, we may not want our ads to be called the worst, but we do want them to attract people. Avoid creating uninteresting and repetitive posts, make it as fun and informative as possible to gain more engagement.

All of the things listed above are also part of the reasons why it so important to have a social media marketing team and hire creative people to be a part of it, but that’s already a topic of a different one.
