After the worldwide outbreak of COVID-19, we can all agree that the world isn't going through the best times. People around the world are under self-quarantine and in some countries they are only allowed to go out in extreme cases. People can't go to work nor visit their friends.

That's why to make things easier for you, here is the list of social media platforms that can help you get things done from home:

1. Communicate with family or friends.

    If you feel lonely at home, applications like WhatsApp, Viber or Skype can help you stay in touch with your friends. All of them are free messaging and calling apps that allow you to text or even video call people any-time and any place.

    2. Stay updated.

      You never want to miss something important that might be going on in your friends or family member's lives. To stay updated about events that are happening around you, you can simply create Facebook or Instagram accounts. Both of them are specifically created for people to share their daily lives. + They are free.

      3. Work from home

        If you are lucky and instead of unpaid vacation, you work remotely, you should be aware that there are a bunch of useful apps to help you organize and manage your daily tasks. For video conferences, we suggest using Webex, Zoom, Skype for business. They have different characteristics but will serve you perfectly and guarantee high-quality video and audio calling. You can use Google Drive that allows you to work on the same document together with your co-workers. They can add comments and valuable feedback on the task. Working from home can be even fun. As some scholars suggest, employees' productivity might increase, when they work in a stressless environment.

        4. Teach or study from home.

          We are through a tough time right now. All educational institutions are closed, and the only option is to study and teach remotely from home. Online platforms, such as Google Classroom and Khan Academy provide you whole attributes for better understanding and quality education. You can even self-enroll the online study programs on Coursera and Edx. They bring world-class education on your screens. You can audit them for free or purchase for a certificate that is quite cheap compared to its value.
