The Power of Morning Routines

Having a morning routine in my life allows me to be able to begin the day on the right track.

I first learned about the power of morning routines/habits a few years ago when I stumbled upon the book “The Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod. At the time, I was at the very early stages of my journey as a real estate investor so I needed something that could be the “glue” of my day that I could count on to set me up for success. The book is a blueprint of a system that can be implemented on a daily basis first thing in the morning that covers the 6 pillars of personal development. My personal “miracle morning” looks like the following

-4:45 AM: Rise and hop in the shower

-Listen to my affirmations and vision statement on audio as I make coffee

-Read for 30 mins

-write down my goals

-begin my first-time block

That's it! I don’t do the “miracle morning” step by step as the author teaches but I do my own version of the system that works for me. The main benefit that I receive from the system is that brings consistency into my day and its something that I have direct control over. Once you are in the “trenches, you have no clue what the day will throw at you. If you can start the day on the right foot, you will be better equipped mentally to handle the daily ups and downs.

As Gary Keller says in “The One Thing”…..”The morning is the rudder of the day”.

My challenge to the readers of this post is to begin your own morning routine asap and report back to me on what the results are after implemented for 60+ days.
