Taking a chance in following my dreams- #investinrealestate

First let me introduce myself, my name is George Mevawala and I look forward to sharing my journey I have embarked on and all that lies ahead in this cyclical thing we call real life monopoly. I have actively been involved in the Arizona real estate market for over a decade now. It has been a passion of mine since being a young child, I always was fascinated with the art that is behind real estate. I thought it would be a great learning curve to start blogging about some of the different experiences I have been through in my real estate career thus far.

Every property is unique, and tells a story that continues to lives on. I live and breathe for real estate, and love everything about the many different types of properties there are in the world. I take pride in every single property that I have designed, and love to share my vision. I currently own a fleet of vacation rentals in the Phoenix market, and love sharing them with people from all over the world. I have had the privilege of currently year to date sharing my properties with 890 guests from 15 countries around the world.

I started out in commercial real estate right when I graduated from Arizona State University in the year 2010. I then spent the next seven years of my career learning the ropes of commercial and how to lease and manage a diverse portfolio of 3 million square feet of commercial space. I then started investing in residential properties that I saw long term potential in turning into short term rental properties. With Phoenix being a growing city being put on the map, I witnessed our city's tourism and hospitality explode in the last decade.

I saw this as an opportunity to venture into the short term rental market and have been an active investor, manager, designer & realtor and worn just about any hat in the industry from my passion & eagerness to learn all the ropes of both residential and commercial real estate. As I transitioned into full time residential sales at the end of the year 2016, I started assisting my client's in finding both high yielding short and long term rental properties. I am also a Superhost with a diverse portfolio of 16 active vacation rental properties and have three more coming on board in the next 45 days.

I will be talking about the highs and lows while bringing you along on my journey from buying, remodeling, and managing a diverse portfolio of real estate in the Phoenix market. I always encourage all my clients, friends, colleagues, co-workers, and anybody I come in contact with to follow their dreams as well and educate themselves so they can open the door to financial freedom.

I wanted to show something that I have recently worked on to give an idea of the way I design properties. Below are a few photos of my most recent remodel. A fully furnished 2 bed/ 1.5 bath townhouse located in Old Town Scottsdale which is a very popular tourist destination in Phoenix which is climbing its way to being one of the highest recongized cities in the United States for all the diversity it has to offer. Not to mention, Scottsdale has been named the most livable city in the nation, with a booming rental market which has seen strong and steady appreciation in the last several years.

It still has a bright future ahead with rents continuing to rise, and still being a very affordable housing market with many incentives. It was a definitely a fun project remodeling this townhouse and always appreciate feedback. In summary, I have been building my formula to buying under market value properties, adding value, and enjoying sharing them with people from all over the world.
