Top 10 reasons why Realtors HATE working with Investors

10.  You want to see 4 times as many houses as a typical buyer.

9.  The homes you're looking at are 1/4 the cost of the average house.

8.  It takes you twice as long to figure out if you're going to write an offer compared to FHA.

7.  Your low ball bounced 5 feet in front of the batter.

6.  You're not as fast paced as the real estate market.

5.  You want help taking notes and just about everything else under the sun.

4.  You have a question about everything and you can't remember the answers.

3.  You think you can negotiate when there is a lot of equity up front.

2.  You don't understand trends.

  1. Great Post! I guess I am guilty of this!

  2. I'm going to be a licensed agent in Michigan soon and I think I'll enjoy working with investors because my long-term goal is be a full-time investor. To be honest I think I would rather work with investors exclusively.

    1. You say that now.  Try both and see what is better.  1st time home buyer sees 10 houses and buys one for 400k or investor who sees 100 properties, submits 27 offers, gets in contract with 5 and then drops out of 4 at the closing table for a 20k property.

      Hmm, GOOD LUCK!

      1. Guilty as charged I have to stop myself from emailing you on every listing you send me.

  3. It takes a special kind of agent to enjoy working with investors (and they have to be pretty strict about who they work with). Of course, the next article you write could be "Top 10 Reasons Investors Hate Working with (Most) Realtors"

    1. thanks Andrew!  I'll knock that one out tonight after I get 5 purchase offers written signed and delivered :D
