Importance of professional photography when selling homes

Did you know that when selling a home the photography is actually important.  You would think that would be common sense but not all sellers realize this.  According to Realtor.com, 92 of people looking for a home, use the internet in their search.  Most people will actually use the photos to determine if they even want to go and view the property.  It is a fact that homes with professional photos sell for more money and sell quicker than homes that utilize less that appealing photos.  Home buyers are sold by the images that they see online.  Professional photography is something that I will never compromise on.  This is a service that is always included in my fee and it should be in yours as well.  Find a good local photographer and watch your homes sell quicker and for more money!!!

  1. Important article for every rehabber.  The market abounds in poor quality photos that in no way flatter the properties.  It's as if someone simply stands in the door of a room and snaps a quick photo, then moves to the next room without considering angles, lighting and such.

Do you recommend showing both "before" and "after" photos to potential buyers?

    1. I know, I chuckle inside when I look at some photos.  Frankly I wouldn't show them what it looked like before.  They just need to know what it looks like now.  That is just me.
