Vulture Webinar Infrastructure Taking Shape - Expert Commentators Lined Up
We are working on setting up our webinar infrastructure, fund principal landing pages, and slides decks to put on our first set of webinars with Entrust and UDirect in the coming few weeks. Instead of co-hosting calls and requiring each new guest to have slide decks we are migrating to an "expert commentator" model where we can control the content and just ask new folks to comment on certain sections of the presentation. This will allow us to continue to invite new experts to our calls without having to develop new presentations each time we want to interact with our list. It will also allow us to leverage the list of our expert commentators and have the machinery build up for them so that they aren't required to do a lot of extra work.
LinkedIn and BiggerPockets are both great audiences for educating folks about vulture investing. People seem especially interested in learning about UBIT tax avoidance via a fund and what the rules are for that. I am planning on contacting David Hanick to see if he will be a guest speaker on one of our future calls to clear a lot of these issues up. There is a lot of confusion about this in the real estate investing world and it is clearly not a gray area so I am interested to see if he will participate.
It seems that self-directing retirement funds is becoming less of a mystery now with all of the investors out in the marketplace educating folks. Prying dollars away from the large equity broker-dealer shops is still a bit of a challenge, but it is less of a challenge with people trying to avoid getting burned in the equity market again. The stock market crash and real estate crisis is causing people to rethink how they invest their hard-earned money. This is great news for honest and ethical fund investors because getting a dialogue going is most of the battle.
I look forward to sharing more developments about our fund and how things are progressing in the coming weeks and months ahead. If you have any vulture investing topics and/or self-directed IRA topics/questions please feel free to leave them below so that we can work on finding speakers for those topics.
