Appreciate Your Team with these Important Steps

Whether you’re managing a football club or forming a multifamily syndication with a few investors, you know for sure that your success was possible through other people. I am talking about the very people that comprise a team of eager supporters who are willing to give you comfort and motivation.

I love working with a team, mainly because of the fact no one else could understand me other than the very people I’m close with. My family and friends, of course, are very important in the emotional and personal aspects of my life. When it comes to business, I won’t hesitate to show appreciation to my team pf syndication attorneys, accountants, property and community managers, brokers, and office assistants.

Teamwork is important in any organization and it’s one of the most important principles that my team and I have adopted ever since we started in the multifamily syndication arena. No doubt, the success of the company is not only dependent on the capital we have, but also in the valuable relationships, we are able to build through teamwork.

I couldn’t be more blessed than having a team comprised of people I can trust and I can depend on for my success. That is why I make it a habit to appreciate my team in my own little way.

1. Treat them on an outing

Nothing can stimulate your team to do better at their job quite like a company outing. Pick a location outside the city. A peaceful national park within the vicinity should do the trick. You will also need to bring along some tents so you can stay overnight, appreciate the beauty of nature, and take this opportunity to relax and unwind. Your team will eventually thank you for giving them an opportunity to break free.

2. Go on a barbecue

You don’t have to look far just to have a great time with your team. In fact, you can always hold a backyard barbecue where you can grill up some meat, sloppy joes, and a wide variety of protein-packed delicacies that will really tickle the taste buds of your colleagues. One thing’s for sure, you don’t have to wait for the Fourth of July just to have your own old-fashioned backyard barbecue.

3. Greet them every day

Aside from jogging, I make it a habit to send the members of my team a good morning message. I usually send out quotes but I also give funny and amusing memes and GIFs that will surely brighten the day for anyone who’s simply not feeling.

4. Send out gifts

From birthdays to Christmas, it’s important that you give your team something in return for the productive work they have provided. In this sense, you may need to consider preparing gifts for your team members. It doesn’t matter if it’s just a simple token, as long as it’s a meaningful way to appreciate your team.

There are a lot more ways you can show your appreciation to your team. You just need to be sincere and honest and kind.

  1. Love this!

As a leader, it's important to remember to put the needs of the team first so that they can work effectively to accomplish the group mission. Too many leaders, it seems, these days forget that team morale is crucial to team success.
