Defining Success in 2018 and Creating Success Immediately

What is success ? How can you begin to be successful in your life?

In the 1950's the late Earl Nightingale defined success in this way: Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.

You can listen to the whole interview on Youtube by typing his name along with "The Strangest Secret".

Success is not stagnant. It isn't an objective that you meet. Instead, it is continually moving forward towards a worthy ideal.

The ideal is the "big goal" - the thing that makes you happy. It can be anything, and it doesn't have to be what others want.

Success is simply doing things that move you toward your goal. What does this mean? It means that you can start being successful immediately. As soon as you get started, by definition, you are successful!

This year, the way to achieve success is to do something that moves you toward your goal. Since you are interested in property investment, just reading this post can be a move towards your goal if you continue to be progressive.

You are successful right at this moment. Better yet, if you continue to move towards your goals you will continue to be a success.

Remember, the best time to in real estate was yesterday. The second best time is today. I wish you many more successes this year as you continue down your Real Estate Investing path.

  1. Well said.

With two kids sometimes it can be tough to get stuff done, but I find that as long as I take some action every day, however minuscule, as long as it is in the direction of my dreams - I feel fulfilled.

Reminds me of a quote I really like: "Burnout is not a result of being too busy. It is an indication of a lost sense of purpose and a lack of fulfillment. When both purpose and fulfillment are present, you are in a state of wholeness and burnout cannot exist." –Brian Koslow
