2 Weeks In, Gold To Jingle.
2 weeks into my hill climb, maybe it should be a mountain. Since I started the climb it does not feel impossible. I got a pay raise, the Trump Tax Cut. If that makes you angry, I voted for him in Florida. Pretty much decide the whole election myself. Haha.
The numbers:
DEBT: $15,552.52 -1800ish
Credit score: 472 +27 points 3 derogatory accounts, the increase is from lowering my debt
Savings: $1982 little hit in the market but it is rebounding
So all my bills are paid, for this month and I have money left to Jingle in my pocket, it excites me. I went on a date, at the drop of my hat. I did not have to wait for payday or move some stuff around to figure out the date. Oh yeah and the date cost me less than $40 and we did enjoy ourselves. We actually talked about financing, and she was curious about what I was doing to better my financial situation.
The gold to jingle is from "The Richest Man In Babylon." Great book discussing the laws of gold, and paying yourself first.
Other books i have read in the last 2 weeks:
Bachelor Pad Economics: Very entertaining, most the stuff I had already known. It is also written towards men, and the author did not write towards the female audience. Also he is against children.
The Simple Path to Wealth: This book i enjoyed a lot, very informational. The author talks about Vangaurd. I am liking how is Vangaurd as an investment. Jack Bogle was a genius in inventing the low cost index fund.
The Man In The Arena: The story of Jack Bogle and how he created Vangaurd
That is all folks, I have had a good 2 weeks, I do not even are the market dipped a little, it just means i was able to purchase at a lower price and have almost recouped my lost. Well its Friday night, and I am feeling good and am off to have a beer to celebrate. I will update you in 2 weeks guys.
