What kind of goals are you setting?

Any good business person, regardless of what you're in the business of needs to have goals.  Without goals you can't start your business plan, you'll find it harder to feel success, and you really won't be guided through your journey.  

Let's talk about goals.  There are several kinds of goals.  There are Easy to Reach Goals.  Goals that you have done before and you know you'll do it again.  They're just a maintenance.  If you've made $25k last year, you can make another $25k this year and you're confident in this and know it will happen.  These goals are easy to reach and you don't have to really put much effort into it, definitely no extra effort. 

The next level of goals are a little higher.  These goals are Attainable Goals. This is something you know you've got it down, you made that $25k last year so you know you can follow steps 1, 2, 3 and double your profit to $50k.  These goals are attainable with work. 

Then, there are your Passionate Goals.  This level of goals isn't for everyone.  Many people are completely content with Attainable Goals and Easy to Reach Goals that get them by happily and comfortably. A Passionate Goal is a goal that makes you want to throw up.  It's a goal, a prize, something that you REALLY want.  It's something that makes you get excited, you're willing to fight for it, work for it, and do whatever it takes to reach this goal.  When you set this goal for yourself, it shouldn't make you feel comfortable.  This goal should make you immediately go how in the world am I actually going to do this?!  But, you can.  You can reach that Passionate Goal of yours if you lay out the plan.  Do the research, break it into smaller goals to reach that end goal.  This is the goal of you want to make a million dollars in the next 3 years, or you want to quadruple your income.  Or you want to travel the world.  Whatever it is, where ever it is that your goal takes you, you can reach it.
