5 Tips For Staging to Sell

When a buyer walks into a house to a poorly staged or even bare space it can turn them away fast.  Most of us want to see a beautiful space and helping them imagine their stuff in the space will help you sell faster.  You can make the space feel more welcoming and spacious with the right staging.

1.  DE-CLUTTER.  Make sure the house is CLEAN and free of personal items.

2. Float your furniture to create a natural flow around the room.

3. Lighting is key!  Aim for a total of 100 watts for each 50 square feet. Don't depend on just one or two fixtures per room, either. Make sure you have three types of lighting: ambient (general or overhead), task (pendant, under-cabinet or reading) and accent (table and wall).

4. Don't go bold on that paint color!  Keep it neutral to appeal to almost anyone.

5. Fresh seasonal flowers and foliage can make any room appear even more welcoming.
