BiggerPockets Launches Awards & Profile Redesign

Introducing BiggerPockets Awards

Yesterday we implemented our new, system-wide award system, designed to stimulate even more activity and participation from our members. With awards designed to reward the top participants in all areas of the site, those who help keep the site running smoothly, and more, we hope that our members will get their competitive spirit going and participate even more here on BiggerPockets.

We're hoping to stir up your competitive spirit!

Those members who have earned an award will see it on their profile in the awards section, and will also have a tally of the total number of awards next to their forum posts. Here's a sample of some awards taken from my profile:

You can see all of the awards, what they mean, and how many have been given away on our Awards page.

What are you waiting for? Find out what awards are available and start working to get them!

Profile Updates:

In addition to adding awards to our member profiles, we've also redesigned our profiles to make them cleaner and a more spacious. We hope you like the changes!

  1. I noticed I have an award and I don't even know why. It's not clear to me hopw one wins an award. Please explain? Thanks

    1. Pete - The Awards page is pretty self-explanatory. Here's the link: http://www.biggerpockets.com/awards If you still have questions, let us know.

  2. good thing I put this in the blog and not the forums, then.

  3. Don't get ahead of us, Steve! We've got a plan - you're going to ruin it for everyone. lol.

  4. Josh, I noticed the awards page has hyperlinks for the award names - but they don't seem to really do anything other than embolden the name. Suggestion: link to a page where the award winners are itemized, and the relevant forum topics/blog can be readily found. The winners would have a link there to their profile in my vision of this. If you're keeping score, then give a scoreboard that people can check into.
