Break in in broad daylight
Last month, while someone was cleaning out our property in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood, the place was broken into. The person stepped out briefly to get supplies, and during that time, someone broke in. There wasn’t much to steal—just a drill and a bag of chips. It's unsettling to think that someone may have been watching our clean-out person that day.

@Reesey Ann I am unfamiliar with Chicago but when I type in Auburn Gresham safe? One of the first things to populate was: you won’t see women jogging alone with their dogs in the neighborhood. Perhaps someone with more intimate knowledge of the area can validate or dispel the type of neighborhood this is but it’s normally not good if that’s one of the first things to populate on the internet. If my first impression is an accurate depiction what you experience is the cost of doing business there.
Very few accurately price the cost of doing business in lower tier neighborhoods into their pro-forma and that gets investors into trouble.
