Hi, I am currently looking for a new insurance broker to help me out with my property, a single-family house, in Tampa, Florida.  Does anyone have any good recommendations? Thanks!

    Khaled,

HH Insurance needs the most current inspection report on my property to give me a quote. So, I am waiting for one.  Is this normal practice for insurance company to ask for the most updated inspection report on property to give a quote?  I have never being asked for one.

Hello Naga A in Atlanta, I just heard a report that said of 25 private Home Owners Insurance companies in Florida, only three (3) are making any money. Two companies went out of business this week. Many of them are just sending emails to customers with Cancel Notices. Some people are getting new estimates for Double their current rate. The rule is that your 4 Point Inspection has to show that your roof is no more than ten years old or you do not get approval for Insurance. The Townhome I paid cash for last year in Valrico, was built in 2016. They just put on all new roofs on the 17 units, paid for with a million dollars from the HOA fees. So, I now have a time-frame for Selling my home. Sometime less than ten years from now, in order for the next owner to qualify for Home Owners insurance, I have to Sell. The HOA has posted a Roof Certification for us online to show our current Insurance company.
