Get Two Copies of your Assignment of Contract?

When you fill out a contract with a seller typically you fill out two copies. One for them for safe keeping and one for you to deposit with the title company.

My question is should you do the same thing with your assignment of contract? That is when its time to assign, write out two copies. One gets deposited with your title company, and one for you to keep for your records?

Is that a good idea?
