Mentors in Bradenton, FL

Have the successful wholesalers out there used a mentor or just flew solo in getting started in wholesaling?

It seems like a great concept but I don't know anyone in the industry in my area and it seems like networking and building relationships prior to finding houses is something that should be done.

Should I make business cards and talk to the folks on the courthouse steps before or after auctions?

Do I find out who the investors are by looking up who is buying the majority of properties?

What method has worked for you in finding a mentor or a partner that has helped you grow in this industry?

Any input would be great, Thanks!
