Anybody in NC help me out?

Question

Was wondering the order in which I get contracts? Like do I get them to agree first and then get my lawyer to contact them? Or do I have a contract with me and fill out everything then? I ask because a lawyers office gave me a contract they used and it was 7 pages and i feel like i will make mistakes filling that out by myself at a clients house.

@Jonathan Toruno. What are you trying to accomplish?  When I make my own offers I’ve typically just used a contract I found online.  Fill it out, both parties sign it and give it to the closing attorney.  Sign the paperwork at closing, wire money and you’re good to go.  This is me as the buyer.  As the seller it’s even easier.  Sign papers collect money.

@Caleb Heimsoth ok so I already have the house under contract I just hold on to it till I find my buyer? Then find my lawyer? Correct? Sorry I’m asking so much I just wanna be thorough I’m nervous as hell doing this myself

I think that you have the right idea regarding wholesaling.  However, be very, very careful when putting a property under contract when you don't have a buyer or you're not going to purchase it.  That can possibly get you into a lot of trouble.  Make certain that you have a buyer or that you plan on buying it.

If you’re wholesaling that’s different, then just normally buying. Without getting into the legality debate of wholesaling...the idea for you would be to sign a contract with the seller that has an “assignment clause” which basically allows you to sign the contract over to person.  You’d sign a separate contract (at the marked up price) with that person.  Then you have to execute the two contracts at the same time.
