Wholesaling searching for leads

So today I encountered a young man that was totally rude. I dont understand for the life of me why experienced wholesalers look down on newbies. All I asked was a little guidance as to i haven't yet to close a deal and he act as if i was asking for a hand out!! I offered to pay him but was still insulted! If anyone is willing to give me a little guidance I'm more than willing to pay and put in the work. I'm in the Columbus ohio area. Thanks in advance

@Trachelle McNeill

I wasn't there but my guess is this guy isn't near as experienced as you think. His reaction says more about him that it does you.  There are a LOT of jerks in this industry.

Regarding looking down on new wholesalers; it is mostly two issues

  1. Most new investors haven't taken the time to educate themselves. I bet 1 in 1,000 has not looked at the small business administration website or gone to the library to check out a book on starting a business or business law.
  2. Most new wholesalers put anything under contract, exaggerate the ARV and under estimate the cost of repairs.

PS find a deal from baltimore in the marketplace and I will show you specifically how off the mark it is.
