Wholesale closing process

Hey I have my first wholesale deal under contract with a motivated seller, but I was wondering how does the closing process work with the attorney. I have a cash buyer that is going to sign the contract in a of couple days. Do the attorney start working on the deal after the buyer has dropped of the check or do I have to come out of pocket and pay for him to start on it before the buyer brings the check? It's very exciting to have my first deal falling into place, it gave me a rush when I was negotiating with both parties. Thanks in advance everyone for the insight!
