Buyer Backs Out Before End of Contract

We had an assignment to close no later than October 26th.  They backed out today!  We found another buyer but now we only have until the 31st to close according to the PA.  Do we have to wait until the 26th passes to enter into another Assignment Agreement with a new buyer?
