Where do I go to get the affidavit notarized?
Hey guys...
I just put a seller under contract...
Where do I go to get the contract notarized and cloud the title?
what part of the court house does this?
Thanx Guys :)

If it is a good deal and you are afraid other investors may swoop in and make a higher offer and also contract on the house - it happens - then you can file a Memorandum of Contract (at least that is what it is called here in TX) to cloud title as Roger suggests. The seller will be unable to sell to anyone else until the issue (your memorandum) is resolved (you buy it, or they pay you something you agree to for damages). Notary can get done at your bank I would think. We would file the memorandum at the county clerk.
