I recently put an ad on Craig list for Bird dogs ($real estate Bird dogs$) in the ad and said I would pay $500 if you bring me a deal and it goes to closing, is $500 too much or not enough?

500 is usually the typical fee, however to keep the interest of the bird dog going and receive more leads, it's always helpful to pay a little more to the bird dog after a certain amount of good leads given from the same bird dog. Anywhere from $1000-$2000 would be a good range.
