Looking for mentorship in Los Angeles

Hi BP,

I have read the Beginner's Guide, The Definitive Guide to Real Estate Wholesaling and I've read through the sticky posts in this forum. I decided since I have no money I should start with wholesaling and as exit strategy. I'd eventually like to start flipping properties. Since I am short on cash, credit and experience, I'm looking for a mentor in the L.A. or Santa Monica areas to help with the experience part. My intent here is not to discourage, but to open the eyes of the new members who think that wholesaling is their best starting point. I personally disagree. The best starting point is to pick a strategy they would like to do (buy and hold, flipper, etc.) and then find a partner who is already doing it and partner with such an investor.

I would love to start with a partner and investor here, but as a newbie, I see more hope in wholesaling. Not sure where to begin.

Ways I can help you out... I have my own car, lots of time, web and graphic designer.

Thanks, looking forward to here from you.

Renee

@Eldar M.

Thank you!

@Ned Carey

I'm not going to let anything stop me. Today, I'm working on a list of contractors in my area, and some recommended by friends to see if I can do some walk-through with them to learn. Also working on a website for myself and going to do some marketing to home owners. I enjoy marketing and have experience in that.

Thanks for the reply.
