Probate help

I'm trying to find the owner of a piece of property whose owner has passed and the estate rep as well as the attny rep has advised the property is not included in the estate. The spouse has already passed as well but no record of her estate was even opened in the state she passed in. Letters are piled up at the property so sending a letter will not work though I have. And the taxes are being paid. Any ideas of how to find the current owner would be helpful. Property is still listed as in the husbands name but he has long passed.
