What do/did you fear most about taking those first steps in wholesaling??

I'm just curious?  Maybe we can hold each other accountable...

For me I feared failing....which is really failing in itself by not starting...right? At least that's how I was able to get over it.

I'm big on the law of attraction....so if you're thinking about failing before you even start you'll only fail/sabotage yourself by not putting your all in.

Meeting a seller.... but now, after 10 years, its my favorite part of the gig.  But that's easy when you have all the options, not just wholesaling.  I'll wholesale it, list it, short it, wrap it, flip it, rent it... whatever the deal dictates.

I'm an introvert, so I'm reluctant to come from behind my computer in the first place. But I know what I have to do in order to get where I want to go, so...

Still, my partner and I haven't been consistent about finding deals. My goal for this coming week though, is to locate a set number of vacant or For Rent properties and contact the owners.

@Cass R. Smith My fear is/was not being able to get properties under contract and even if I did, not being able to find a buyer for them.

Talking to sellers REALLY paralyzed me for the longest...Isn't it wonderful when you can say its something you actually enjoy now?  Sorry if I'm speaking for myself about enjoying it.  lol @Daniel Francis

I wouldn't fear getting them under contract...if you find motivated sellers they'll have no problem accepting your help. You're there to help them get out of a situation they need help with. I fear getting them sold/assigned but worst case if you cant sell it you have a back out clause IF you cant find your buyer but I truly put my mad man hat on when I have a property and literally map out and try every single road to find my buyer. I put up bandit signs "HANDYMAN SPECIAL" I use postlets, I contact local REI groups to talk to talk to investors, I attend auctions looking to talk to buyers, I post ads on Craiglist, I even call other wholesalers for JV deals if its cutting close to my contract end day. @Troy Cole

I'm an introvert as well.  So I really can relate.....Is it easier for you to talk to sellers via phone vs face to face ?? @Lynn Lewis

Although both take me outside my comfort zone, I think I prefer the phone.  My deals are out there and the only way for me to find them is to talk to sellers, so I want to get the wrong ones out of the way so I can get to the right ones. Live rewards action! I got that from Dr Phil and it works for me, all the time.

My introversion causes to me to procrastinate severely....I seriously have wasted weeks, months etc with some of the most simple tasks.   I started realizing I could be a introvert who lives paycheck to paycheck or I could be an introvert who learns to switch to extrovert when needed to make my dreams come true.  Introverts think differently from extroverts so I use that to my advantage.  Even one call a day to sellers is a step in the right direction.  I like your Dr. Phil quote.  I personally like the quote that "Fortune favors the Bold"  Best wishes and I wish you wealth.   Keep me posted of your progress @Lynn Lewis

not having the knowledge to accomplish what I'd like to accomplish. I had a fitness studio o while back that failed miserably thanks to an utter lack of knowledge. I'm in the beginning stages right now and Am really concentrating on doing my homework. I am passionate about this however passion isn't enough.....
