Wholesaling Question for experienced wholesalers

Checking to see if some might be able to answer a question I have about Wholesaling regarding the legality of the situation in Ohio.

If I were to act is if I own the home buy going into a cash buyers website and submitting the home, then I would hopefully acquire cash buyer interest and contact the seller and negotiate pricing. Would this be illegal to do as opposed to traditionally getting the home under contract before gaining interest form the buyer? For the seasoned whole sellers out there how would you suggest I structure this?

I'm 17 and just starting out I'm currently trying to get more cash to be able to purchase more properties so I appreciate any insight that anyone is willing to offer.

I wouldn't get involved anything that could be fradulent.  Just team with with someone who is experienced and learn from them.  So instead of saying "How about I act like I own a pizza place", just get a job at the pizza place and learn from the owner.  Wholesaling is like anything else; you need to learn from someone experienced, especially since you are messing with people's lives (sellers) and want to avoid lawsuits, etc.
