Evictions and rental assistance in cook county.

A few questions I have for landlords.

How long did it take you to get rental assistance funds from the state?

How long from the time of application and until getting the funds.

Me and my delinquent tenant filled out the paper work May 9th right before closing of the program and it still says ready for review.

I am in eviction court as we speak and just got done with the 28day ERP BS and to be honest if I had to do it all over again I would have filed earlier and used a lawyer. The judges seem to be very pro tenant and seem like they look for any small error to throw your case out. Anyways the only way I will get my money from my tenant is if rental assistance is approved tenants is 4 months behind.

After the second ERP hearing the judge said take a picture of this photo and you need to submit court order to transfer this case to trial assignment. I basically just sent an email request but I am sure there is another way of doing it. Can anyone help.

To sum things up I am basically screwed if I don't get my rental assistance. The way it is looking probably 30 days to get the trial date, another 30 days if tenant says I need a lawyer and need time and than another 30 days for sheriff to evict tenant.

One thing I have learned through out this process is that county workers are incompetent, do not return call and are of no use. If this was the private sector half of them would be fired.
