Furnished Finder/ Medium Term Rental

Hello - do those that use Furnished Finder or perform 30-90 day rentals typically require their tenants to get renter's insurance? I'm getting some push back from a potential tenant that she's never done that before on air bnb MTR's. However, I know renter's insurance protects her items AND mine if damage is done to my property by the renter. Thoughts?

I do want to note for people reading this thread later, I did require the renter's insurance. My agent explained to me that their Renter's Insurance also helps to protect me against damage they to do my property (of course beyond a standard security deposit). If you don't have Renter's Insurance from a tenant, your insurance company has no one to go after (especially if it's something caused by their doing - i.e. house fire from them cooking, overflowing bathtub, their guest falling, etc). If they continuously file claims through MY insurance, my insurance could very well choose to not renew with me, I'm paying for deductibles, and my premium costs sky rocket in the future. Long story short, my agent said to steer clear from any tenants that do not agree to provide renter's insurance on a MTR.  Hope this helps someone else!
