Permits needed for midterm rental

Berron J.
Posted Nov 26 2023, 18:33

I’m looking to convert my North Little Rock single family into a midterm rental.  Is anyone familiar with the needed permits or where to find info pertaining to permits?

@Berron J.  Look at your state landlord tenant laws to see what is considered a long term rental, chances are it is 30 days or more.  A mid term rental for the most part is a furnished rental with everything included including for >  30 days.  You would need to comply with long term rental regulations and get a rental license if required.  You cannot rent short term in between tenants if short term isn't allowed or you don't have the appropriate permit.  Look into the size of your property and see if there is demand before you commit to all that furniture and houseware.

Also you can call the city and ask about rental regulations. You might phrase it doese a month to month rental falls under short term and if you need a permit.

Agreed with Colleen! Check with the city and make sure you are complying with local short/long term rental regulations (typically 30+ days is considered long term).
