MTRs in NYC - Local Law 18

Hi everyone,

I'm curious if anyone here was affected by Local Law 18 in NYC and is now pivoting from STR to MTR rentals? I know NYC is a unique market with various challenges but I think demand for MTRs is very high in NYC especially at the right price.

When I was agent in the city we always were receiving lots of requests for MTR rentals and a lot of the best options were extremely expensive (even by MTR standards). With the cost/difficulty of moving in NYC I think there would be a big market for MTRs for people trying to move to the city but need a month or two to find the right place/decided what neighborhood is the best fit.

Is anyone having success? What neighborhoods have been working well?

Thanks!
