MTR Start Up

Zach Wagner
Posted

We currently are house hacking a duplex. The property is in great shape near everything you could ask for. It is also near a massive medical campus that is constantly growing in a decent size metropolitan area. We rent out the bottom unit LTR with long term tenant and are looking to move out of upper unit and make it a mid term rental. We know the area pretty well and have a couple of friends in various medical fields that always talk about traveling medical professionals. MTR seems to be a viable option for our situation. Any ideas or tips on how to get the ball rolling. Thanks in advance BP members.

Hey @Zach Wagner - here's some resources to get you started. I'd start with checking rental comps on the FF website. Use my slide deck for the "see demand" section. Should be a good start.

    1. Furnished Rental Checklist: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RzTpNu1Vsm1_PJxPa_uTk5vL...

    2. Items to purchase list: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Yls8YiWI9WIs0J-jWYdD...

    3. MTR Presentation: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1qCD_XIgmg-2BGGzsDbWq...

    4. Handoff List- great for listing managers sharing tenant info with leasing/property managers.
