Zip code 46229 any insight?

Soyoung Bae
Posted

I have been looking into the neighborhood of zip code 46229, Above the Cumberland area.

I have found a property that will cash flow but I am not sure about the neighborhood. As an out of state investor, I need some local insight. If it is relatively safe working color neighborhood, I will definitely jump in. I kind of had a feeling that this neighborhood is on the borderline between working class neighborhood and rough one.

Thanks in advance 🙏

Love

@Soyoung Bae, I can see that zip code isn't too populated but I think I can pull that data from the system I have in place. What do you need exactly? Any specific metrics you are looking for?

I wonder how many cash sales were in that area for the last 6months. That would be very helpful data. Thank you so much for replying to my post. That was my first post ever in the BP.

Hi Soyoung, Consider consulting with a real estate attorney or property management company familiar with the area. They can provide professional advice and guidance based on their knowledge of local regulations, market trends, and investment opportunities.

46229 is a decent area for rentals especially single family homes that you would accept section8 on. We are seeing higher than market rents with section8 right now in Marion county!
