Myrtle Beach Area Market trends

Hello BP,

Anyone here specialize in Myrtle Beach (and surrounding areas)? Just wondering how the overall short-term rental market is doing down there? I closed on a rental property in  Pawley's Island a few months ago. I know its somewhat far from the airport but its in a beautiful development. I do have some renters scheduled over the next couple months, however it's not what I thought it would be, particularly in regards to rates. This is my first rental property and I do realize there will be learned lessons along the way, but Im just curious as to anyone else who rents out in this area and perhaps some insight as to what areas would be considered hot markets. Perhaps the Carolina Forest area or somewhere up North? I live in NY but have been to Myrtle Beach probably 40+ times, love the area and would love to transition down there when I become profitable in Real Estate. If anyone wants to private message me in further detail I'd love to hear from an seasoned vet on where to look for my 2nd property early next year. Thanks in Advance
