Buying a first property

I am looking for a first time home. I would like to house hack with either roommates or a multi family. I tried to explain this to my realtor but she didn't seem to understand what I was talking about. She is also advising me to a house that she has listed over others that I've asked about. Is this a red flag. Should I try to find a realtor in my area who better understands my goals. Am I maybe just being too impatient. Thanks in advance for your opinions and advice.
