Hello!

I'm looking to connect with other Grand Rapids investors regarding their experience working with property management companies. If anyone is willing to connect and share advice, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks!

Martin

@Martin Cervantes

Whomever you choose do not go by reviews. I had a property manager that had tons of great reviews mostly by tenants and basically they charged owner for everything and never made tenant take responsibility. Also focus on what you want in their personality

and mission of their company. Some of my clients want PM to go extra step to call tenants and try to work with them. For me personally when I managed and had my own management company I wanted my tenants to say I was fair, not nice, not understanding but fair. Having been the target of a class action lawsuit I can tell you everybody gets treated the same. If we give one late refund to someone then EVERYONE gets it. You could be out at a strip club or paying for your moms surgery we don’t care. Everybody gets treated the same thats equality and that keeps you out of courtroom. My property manager I chose with the most success reflected the personality I wanted to exude with my tenants.
