Marketing Units Before Renovated - Does that work?

Anyone have experience marketing units as “coming soon”?

Basically preselling units so that way you have applicants lined up once renovations are complete.

If you do have experience doing please share your strategy. Such as photos used since units are being renovated and don’t look rent ready.

Renovations for my units are set to be complete in the late spring early summer. Thinking about marketing when we are 30 - 60 days close to completion

Unfortunatly no. We have tried it - people either can't see past the construction or they don't trust the owner to actually complete the job. Both are very reasonable and real concerns.

As an agent I see so many flips here in Milwaukee that are just done extremely poorly - to the point where I find it entertaining, but it's also sad. The market usually takes care of these guys. So, would I personally trust a random LLC to finish a job to a beautiful move in ready home for me - absolutley no! I have seen too much LOL

The only thing that works is show one model unit or house and then get them in line for another house that is not quite finished yet.
