Email Marketing Help

Hi BP, 

I'm new to real estate marketing and I was wondering if im allowed to email contacts which I have retrieved through skip trace. Do I need to get their permission first before sending the email?

That would classify as SPAM so its not something you could legally do. You will also find the skip traced email addresses are pretty bad so it would also likely get a lot of bounces and spam traps so could hurt the reputation of whatever IP you send from so not worth it. If you are looking for a low contact way to reach out to the list you should try text messaging. The legality of that is debated but if you are sending one at a time (Even through a program like lead sherpa) and are not selling anything (you should be buying something right?) then lots of people say it is legal. There are lots of case of lawsuits so do your own homework.

Hi @Hari Munikar I agree with Stephen, buying a list, scraping emails, or retrieving them through skip trace, would be considered SPAM, and would be illegal. The legality on the texting is a pretty gray area right now, and would be hesitant to send out text messages. If you have a marketing budget, you can always take that list and use it to re-target them on paid ad platforms. If they opt in as a result, then you can always email them.

Get a website

Make it credible

Figure out several marketing options, including PPC and Facebook ads (these are the most efficient and reliable lead generation methods for paid marketing).

Find out for each of the methods what the cost/deal is.

If you have enough  money to match the cost / deal, pick the marketing method that is most feasible to you

As you market and get lead and make money work on SEO.

Doing it this way removes luck or randomness from the equation and you will receive the highest probability you make your first deal in the shortest amount of time possible.
