Photocopied handwritten letters?

I saw Jason (primo coach) send out in one of his email newsletter things, that he photocopied handwritten letters similar to yellow letters.

I just sent out 25 today, photocopied onto yellow paper, and I hand wrote the address of the property on the letter, and hand addressed invitation style envelopesYou can tell its photocpied if you look, but at first glance it looks pretty good.

I am wondering what success people have with this? I plan to follow up in 2 weeks with a form letter (hand addressed envelope) and then with postcards after that. I just want to get the first one opened and follow up with correspondence later.

It's my first mailing so I am excited. Hopefully I can get another 25-30 out tomorrow.
