Hi Guys, i sent over 1000 yellow letters to a probate list and almost half of it get back to me, either because it was vacant or other reasons. What do you do in this case? Do you mail it again or you remove the names from the list and save money?

Please help.

Merci.

G.

Crappy list.

What did you pay for your list? What criteria did you specify?

Returned nail pieces are called nixies and can be much more vsluable than target names in the right list.

You just got a textbook example of the value of education. About $500+ worth, not including the time lost.

You did not really fail; found one list and letter test that did not generate the results you intended. Better to fail fast and inexpensively. That's what testing us all about.

That being said, if just ONE mail piece turned into a profitable deal, it would probably be worth it, right?

So, welcome to the world of direct response marketing.

No, go to the bookstore with a handtruck. First book to buy is my buddy Craig Simpson's book on direct mail then any if the Dan Kennedy books, 'No BS Guide to ..'

Thank me later!
